
From May 6th the air conditioning system in both building is tested and turned on. Since most of the owners already replaced their air filters at the beginning of the heating season, it is a right time to clean your air filters before you turn on your cooling unit.
Our HAVC system is central forced-air heating and cooling system and the air filters remove dust and allergens from the air before returning it to your rooms. For this reason, the filters are a critical part of our cooling and heating system.
Over the time the filters become clogged with dust and debris and they block the free flow of air drastically reducing the system’s efficiency. Properly maintaining filters is an important way to keep your heating and cooling as affordable as possible. You should clean the forced-air system filters every six months unless they become clogged with dust sooner.
The air filters are located in the AC unit’s air-handler cabinet.

The first step is to turn off the power to the unit and then locate the filter.

The air filter is mounted under the blower motor. Slide the filter out along its tracks.
How to clean your air filter

Take one look at your dirty filter and you’re sure to be relieved the contents were caught in the filter, rather than breathing them into your lungs.
